Ushahkal Abhinav Institute of Medical Sciences
The UAIMS (Ushahkal Abhinav Institute of Medical Sciences), is a healthcare project based in Sangli, Maharashtra, that spreads across a campus of about 4 acres.
Sangli-Miraj is awell-known center in Maharashtra for healthcare institutes and hospitals. While these hospitals widely attract patients from neighboring cities, they lacked multispecialty facilities and institute-like infrastructure. The vital idea of this project was to create an institute and render maximum healthcare related facilities under one campus. This institute is one of a kind landmark structure on a belt of about 300 kms south of Pune. Hence, the site location chosen was located on the outskirts of Sangli, rendering direct access for several neighboring cities through state and national highways. The site is surrounded by a network of roads on three sides with a 15 m wide road in the north marking the main entry and exit into the campus. The given plot area was further divided into 5 zones based on the road axis.
